The Largest of the Duluth Apostrophe’s

I don’t remember if this one has been added to the database yet here. I took this photo about a year ago, and noticed the sign is still up this week for all of I-35 traffic to see.

I think the theory is that if we encourage and cultivate the usage of hip apostrophe's in our signage, wealthy Creatives will pour into town and revitalize our economy. They talked about it at the charrette.

I'll give you fifty cents if you change your name to Ramo's.

Hahaha Jessige!!!

I'll throw in 50 cent's on this too.

Make it fifty dollar's and we'll talk.

I still think many of these mistakes are based in a fear of a word looking too ethnic without the apostrophe. Condos.

Maybe someone should take matters into their own hands:

Someone could go up on that roof and fix that...not me tho---some young and frisky English major on a mission.

Francene, please refrain from writing "tho" in the future. If the correct spelling eludes you, just remember that "tho" = "ugh."

@Ramos -- well, excuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuse me! Just a lazy typist.

I know -- at least we're not bored!

Can we also refrain from addressing each other as "@Ramos", etc. It is utterly senseless.

Question mark.

I just thought of something. This sign may be grammatically correct if they're attempting to hiply and creatively advertise condoms.

Ramos

Or condors. I, for one, could use an office condor.

WTF? Lol.

I have an unhealthy hatred for "Internet shorthand," BTW. Totes obvs, right?

I noticed this morning that this sign has now gone the way of Black Water and Sir Ben's and has been fixed. RIP little misused apostrophe.
