I could live in my Saturn or …

… I could find a cool place to live!

I’m new to Duluth (or will be in the next two weeks), from Winona, and am looking for a place to live. Does anyone know of a good renter, roommate, sweet couple that has a spare room to lease to this young, tuba-playing choir teacher? My first teacher day is August 27, and I’m hoping that I won’t be spending it camping in the station wagon!

I’m in my late 20s, quiet, responsible and respectful, not a partier, love good music, good beer, and creating art!

If you know anyone who is looking for a young professional to rent to, please let me know.

Depending on your income level, you might qualify for Washington Studios Artist Cooperative. (If you are a full-time teacher you probably don't qualify, but if you're part time you probably do. I should also caution that there's no way you could get an apartment there quickly. The process takes a few months. But the apartments are nice.)

Becca is a wonderful, talented and creative woman and we in Winona are going to miss her. I can vouch for her and she would make a great roommate or tenant. Another reason to come back to visit. Time is short and I hope someone on PDD can provide a good lead for her housing.

Welcome to Duluth! We were significantly low on our quota of young, tuba-playing, beer-drinking teachers so it's good to have you numbered among us. I'm going to go off and check several boxes now. You don't happen to own a ferret? We're low on those too.

If you are willing to room with a graduate student, try the UMD off campus housing search. If you need a place to stay for a few days while you look for a place, you could try CouchSurfing.

We're actually Winona transplants as well. Depending on your needs, we might be able to help with housing, and or we can rideshare, as we go down there a lot. Just ask Swan for his 1966 Bonneville buddy's number or email in Duluth.

I just bought a house with empty bedrooms in it! I'm in the East Hillside - think walk to co-op and Burrito Union. I would have a roommate, if it was the right person. I am a mid-30s female with one 12-year-old boy, structured day jobber M-Th but also into various advocacy things. I like beer, art, music, books and am altogether too social for this loving alone business. I am a 5-year Duluthian - transplanted from the 612 ...

Hello! I am a 34-year-old gal with an extra bedroom to rent. Room has lake views and tons of morning sun. Two cats live here, too. I am starting my second B.A. this year so will be busy with school and my night job. The house is walking distance to downtown and Enger Tower. If interested send me an email. danacrobat @ yahoo.com
