Duluth Motorcycle Mechanic?

Where do I find a good motorcycle mechanic in Duluth? I found an old PDD post on the subject, but the one guy named in it is having health problems.

Dave,

I cant work on your bike, but I might be able to help you talk through doing it yourself, what's wrong with your ride?

BTW our thoughts are with the guy I think you are talking about.

I just had my sons bike repaired by JR. He runs an ad in Craigslist.

Works out of his home but is knowledgeable with very reasonable rates.

A guy I'd almost given up on finally got back to me, so I'll give him a try. Baci, the work is preventative maintenance -- bucket and shim valve adjustment and putting an aftermarket doohickey on a KLR 650. Yes. a "doohickey" -- the balancer chain tensioner idler lever and spring. The stock one is known to have a high failure rate. I'll let y'all know if he does good work.

Dave, I asked the same question a while back on PDD. Got some great feedback.

I actually ended up going to Big Lake Cycle Emporium in Superior and had excellent service. Great prices, fast service, and the bike runs great! They also rent u-haul trailers which was very convenient since I couldn't get my bike started. I recommend these guys!

Thanks, all. And I meant to write "preventive" maintenance. I don't want all the under-employed English Majors around here to take me to task.
