Oh brother.

He should team up with Minneapolis' perrennial pot party activist Chris Wright.

Does that mean he should take down the Ron Paul sign? Does this mean he's not a Gary Johnson fan?

WASHINGTON——President Carlson and the Secret Service were stunned early this afternoon when the police department from Duluth, Minnesota pulled up to the doors of the White House in a van and confiscated everything.

"Mr. Carlson is the subject of an ongoing investigation," Duluth Police Chief Gordon Ramsay told reporters. "President or no president, he must be held accountable."

Among the items seized were the Lincoln bed, the Oval Office carpet, thirty-three dollars from President Carlson's pocket and a copy of the Gettysburg Address.

Taft's tub can hold a lot of bath salts.

Is Ferris Alexander going to be his running mate?

I'm still leaning toward Wright. Seriously, he and Carlson could pass as brothers...

I'm sure the Oval Office carpet is chock full of evidence.

From a Grassroots Party news release:

Grassroots Candidates' "Joint" Press Conference set for Duluth on Wednesday June 20.

Two candidates in the November 6 General Election will hold their first combined press conference on Wednesday, June 20, at 11:30 a.m., at the Clayton, Jackson, and McGhie Memorial park in Duluth.

Tim Davis, the Grassroots Party nominee for U.S. Senator against incumbent Amy Klobuchar (DFL) has already been certified to appear on the ballot. Mr. Davis, of Minneapolis, filed a successful ballot access petition with the Secretary of State on Monday, June 4.

Jim Carlson, the prospective "favorite son" Grassroots choice for President, will formally launch his own petition drive to qualify for ballot status. (Independent and minor party candidates for President must file ballot access petitions no later than Tuesday, August 21.)

Mr. Carlson, a Duluth businessman, did not seek the nomination but was "drafted" by Grassroots activists when the success of the Davis for Senator petition drive became apparent.

Mr. Carlson's running mate will be George McMahon of Livermore, Iowa, as the candidate for Vice President. Mr. McMahon is one of a handful of patients who legally receive herbal cannabis ("marijuana") for medicinal use, directly from the federal government.

The Grassroots Party is a recognized minor party under the laws of Minnesota, having received more than 1% of the statewide votes in 2010.

Politically, the Grassroots Party belongs in the Jeffersonian tradition, often quoting Thomas Jefferson's comment that "The greatest service that can be rendered any country is to add a useful plant to its culture."
