Calling All Community Builders

With a creative answer to the questions below (not actually required), not-for-profit organizations pay nothing to promote themselves and connect with people at this year’s Twin Ports Bridge Festival. And the admission is free for a member of the organization to staff the booth! Since vendors and exhibitors are located in the concert bowl with a view of the main stage, this means a free Jayhawks concert plus a full day of music from other great bands along with community yoga, inspiration and fun for the whole family — all while spreading the good word about the organization.

(Craft vendors and for-profit companies only pay $129 for their 10×10 space and that includes two passes to the entire day of events. Food vendors come in at $329 for four passes).

So how does your organization benefit our region? How do you have a positive impact on our community? Perhaps you create art for the community to enjoy, or make and sell a natural product that doesn’t harm the planet or other people like the alternatives. Maybe it makes people look and feel great, spreads joy or laughter. Maybe your company educates people about an important issue or empowers others to affect positive change. Or empowers a machine to make really good popcorn.

The Twin Ports Bridge Festival would like to help raise awareness around your good deeds, services and products. Every exhibitor at this year’s festival will play a role in the day’s events and attract attention to their cause by creating their own “happenings” in their exhibit space. And every “happening” will be included in the festival’s official schedule of events. A “happening” could be a demonstration, a special sale or giveaway, a contest or a free hug. It could take place from 1-3 p.m. on the schedule, from 4:15-4:18, or all day – a tiny bit like Burning Man, without the nudity.

It’s just another way to truly make this a day where everyone there is involved. Connecting people. Celebrating community. Get an application and more details for vendors here.
