Duluth 'International' Airport?

Indeed. It was an easy one, but way to go anyway, DBB. Maybe I should have cropped it tighter.

Oh, the humanity!

I have to say the composition on both photographs is fantastic. Also, those in the photos are either extraordinary actors or very easily terrified by inanimate objects.

Isn't that corner technically in Hermantown?

Nope, it's in Duluth by about 400 feet. Hermantown's northeast border is Airport Road and Haines Road, so that section of trees in the lower left of this Google Map screenshot is Hermantown, but the rest is Duluth.

Phantom on a stick!

Those planes-on-a-stick always remind me of the ugly time when my Boy Scout troop played Jarts.

This seems like a good time to point out the wetland replacement area (NW corner of Haines/Airport intersection) that DAA constructed for the new terminal project. It's uncommon to see a construction project actually add wetlands to the Miller Creek watershed. I'm helping monitor the new wetlands and they're performing very well after only 2 years.
