We found a little black kitty too, 19th Ave. East, near Chester Creek Cafe. I hope the kitty you found finds its way home.

Claire,

Is the kitty you found wearing a blue collar? I live on 7th near CCC and have been stalked by a young black kitty wearing a blue collar whilst walking my 60lb dog. In fact, the kind mail lady saw the kitty in action and scooped it up to try to find it's home along her route one day last week. I think it may live in the green house one up from the corner of 20th Ave E and 7th... I've seen a small black kitty in the window there. Good luck!

BTW, how did you figure out how to upload a picture? Is there a way of doing this on PDD?

MichelleP, thanks! This little kitty has no collar, but we've been feeding it since Friday and as of last night, it's in our garage, separate from our other kitties. I'm going to have to go by the green house and ask if the kitty belongs to them. I'll do it today ... my daughter has already named the little kitty and is getting attached.

Sam, there's a Help Topic for adding images to posts. It isn't the simplest thing to figure out, but we explained it as best we could.

It might be a good idea to call or take the kitty to Animal Allies. The owner might have a "lost cat" report in with them in case someone brings it in. It is also possible the cat is microchipped. They will not put a pet down, and since the cat had a harness it was obviously someones pet.

I'll repost this again -- I was told not to take a lost kitty to Animal Allies, but to the pound on 27th & Courtland. I just talked to Animal Control, they keep the lost animal for a week, then send it over to the Humane Society.

Animal Allies has a 'lost and found' portion on its website and you can upload this picture to that as well. Can also post on Craigslist.

I hope the kitty above finds its way home! Keep us posted! I am really surprised no one has come forward for it, it looks so obviously cared for.

BTW, I took the little black kitten I found to the pound this morning, it's pretty obvious it had no home to return to, Michellep's tip didn't pan out. The pound is depressing, but it'll move over to the Animal Allies hotel & spa next week.

Lost cats make me really sad, esp. if there's a kid out there missing their pet.

Animal Allies is chock full of kitties as of last weekend. Lots of kittens and full grown cats.
