Duluth Trails

I took this video on my first trip along the Congdon Trail earlier this month. What a beautiful, short and highly recommended hike! A great place for a perfect Duluth day. I’d like to make more videos of Duluth’s waterways (besides the big lake). Any suggestions?

This is beautiful and a good reminder of the gorgeous places all around us in Duluth...Lester River trail is pretty too and would look good in a video.

If you like an uphill walk, there are some beautiful sections of Knowlton Creek. To get there, you go up 80th West, then left down a dirt road, park before the gate, then follow the dirt track up the hill for about a half mile. Do it right, and you'll get to one of the prettiest places I've found. There's probably an easier way to get there, but I haven't bothered looking for one!

The Knowlton is a great sugguestion. If you hit Lincon Park remember to go up the trails to upper part below Skyline. That is a nice short to midsized trail with a few great falls.

Knowlton Creek is nowhere near Lincoln (or for that matter, "Lincon") Park. Conrad is referring to Norton Park.

Some urban seplunking in the tunnels of Chester Creek from Fourth Street down is always interesting. Bring hip waders, a flashlight and don't go if it has rained at any point 24 hours earlier.

Cross the bridge and hike the trails in the Superior Municipal forest, now part of the Lake Superior National Estuarine Research Reserve. Especially near the Pokegema River in the state natural area. It's amazing.
