Laps Around the Library – a fundraiser walk to support the library, Sept 25, 2010.

The Friends of the Duluth Public Library invite you to participate in Laps Around the Library starting at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 25.

Registered participants will walk 5 times around the Duluth Public Library at 520 W. Superior St., which is approximately one mile. For registration information, pick up a registration form at the main library or branch libraries, go to the Friends section of the Duluth Public Library website www.duluth.lib.mn.us or call (218) 525-5098. Money raised will support book and media purchases and programs for the library. Early bird registration through Sept. 15 is $15 per person or $35 per family. On-site registration will be available, please add $5.

This event is a walk, not a run. Families welcome to participate. No strollers or pets, please. Prizes for everyone. Participants may wear book character costumes if they would like – with good walking shoes. Thanks to sponsors: Whole Foods Co-op and Mellin Promo. There also will be a grand prize of a GIANT pumpkin grown at the Inn on Gitchee Gumee. Thanks to Joy Dey for designing the logo.
