On Monday, Jan. 18, there is a free breakfast at 7 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 2430 W. Third St., followed by a march, which starts at the Washington Center at Lake Avenue and Fourth Street at 11 a.m. The march goes through downtown and the skywalk to arrive at the rally at the DECC at 11:45 a.m. The featured speaker will be Rep. Jeff Hayden.
There are also pre-events.
On Friday, Jan. 15 there is a soup and bread supper at the
Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Duluth, 835 College St at 5:30 p.m. with readings by Duluth High School at 7 p.m. and performances by both the UUCD choir and Voices of Vision directed by Gabe Green. All of this will be followed by a birthday cake for the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
On Saturday, Jan. 16 readers theater titled “Many Acts of Goodness they had shown Me: Defending and Defining Indians, 1670 – 1989 will be performed by Carl Gawboy, at the Temple Israel – 1602 E. Second St.
