Winning bidder in DWI recliner auction says he can’t pay

Bidding while intoxicated has consequences too!  The teachable moments just keep coming.

I'm amused to imagine the chief of police leaving negative feedback.

This always happens with high profile auctions on ebay, I bet the top 5 highest bidders have no intention of paying had they actually won. It is my guess that if it sold the first time while it was still a media blitz they would of actually received $25,000 for it after weeding through all the wannabee bidders, but now it's yesterdays news and no one cares anymore. I bet it sells for $3,000 top end when this is done. I warned the chief about calling it a Lay Z Boy from the start.

I hope it costs the city more to dump this thing rather than make money off of it. 
Shame on them for initiating the whole thing.

Shame on the EBay top bidder for being a jerk and not paying for the item that he bid on!
