Just a comment. For those of use locked in a fabric box all day until 4:30, who would like to purchase locally grown/produced stuff, please consider lengthening the time until 5:30 or 6 next time.

Thanks :)

My thoughts also. I wish I could get there but don't make in time after work.

Duluth needs a daily farmer's market. Why not? I've heard the booths are full and there are people on the waiting list?

Has no on thought of this? Why is it not happening?

Every day from May to September please!!!!

There are four farmer's markets that I know of in the Twin Ports.

14th Avenue East & 3rd Street: Wednesdays and Saturdays, 7am-noon

UMD: Wednesdays, 2pm-4:30pm

Barker's Island: Saturdays, 8am-noon

1615 Winter Street, Superior: Wednesdays, 1pm-5pm

Hey - I work at UMD and I can't even make it to the market.

My 2 cents after Saturday's visit t0 the main Duluth Farmer's Market - needs a complete re-do. Sure seems like we could have bit more variety...how about some meats (besides chicken) - fish, lamb, grass-fed beef - coffee shop - eggs - herbs - wild foods (mushrooms, etc). All the booths (what few there are) seems to sell the same thing whenever I visit (except for the soap/craft vendor - what is THAT doing in a Farmer's Market?)

Sorry, rant over. I miss the St. Paul FM, I guess.

It seems there are squatters. Do they rotate vendors or was it first come first serve a few years ago? (decades?)

Let's close down Superior Street from jitters to lake avenue and have a daily market in the street. Veggies, fruits, meats, music, coffee, soap, herbs, they'd be enough room for everyone!

Why are the farmer's markets only wednesday and saturday? YOu'd think because there is one already on wednesday they'd want to do it another day? I just don't get it.

Thanks for all the feedback. There will definitely be discussion about the times for next year and your input will be heard.

There is not currently a waiting list for producers - we are very willing to welcome newcomers!
