It's been in the middle 80s in the upstate of South Carolina the last two days, but last week during a freak ice storm the power was out for 4 days and a tree fell on my yaris causing 5400 dollars damage.
I wanted to take the day off and be a Weather Channel groupy. I also feel bad that the storm isn't the worst Duluth can offer. Finally, I think we have FAR more interesting weather than many of the other places they cover endlessly. They should set up a satellite office here.
Slightly off subject:
On Monday Karl Spring nearly guaranteed a foot or more of snow and 50mph wind. Last night, after most of the whopping 4 inches had fallen and gusts had reached, gasp!, 30mph, Beth Jett said "Well, Chief Meteoroligist Karl Spring predicted it, and it happened!"
Why can't they ever just admit that they got it wrong?
