Photo from a recent birthday party. All "hail" (literally) the change of season!

I've actually met people from southern California that would, with head to one side, respond, "Really? The leaves change color there?" They were serious. I immediately wanted to put up my fingers in a crucifix to ward off the zombies.
One of our daughter's friends had an ill-fated birthday party at Lester a year ago, although in that case the problem wasn't hail but impressive winds.

I once met a New Yorker who asked what I did during the dark season. "Dark season?" I asked. "You know, when the sun goes away for half the year...."
