Two-thousand sticks of Fortune Bubble.

By the way, according to www.oldtimecandy.com, Fortune Bubble Gum was discontinued -- which means "that it is gone, we do not have any and we don't know where to find it."
For the record, I never actually bought 2,000 sticks. But I remember Dave Felver buying at least several hundred once and passing them out on the playground at Laura MacArthur Elementary School in about 1982. He made a lot of friends that day. I think he told me he stole the money from his dad.
For those who don't know, Fortune Bubble Gum was sold by the individual stick for one penny. Along with the gum in the package was ... you guessed it, a fortune.

Coincidentally, that is also one of the busier late-night crack corners in the city.
